I was just about beginning my photographic journey when was exposed to Pakenham's glorious photographs of trees. It was his book, Meetings With Remarkable Trees, which made me believe that there was a possible way to cut down on the visual clutter in landscape photography.

I thought I'd do a short series on some artists that I most admire, or find interesting. For the sake of clarity, most of these individuals are photographers. Here's a short explanation of what's ahead. Later on I might put up a blog post about people in general who I find inspiring.

I've had some trouble with my two existing cameras recently. My Canon Rebel 2000 seems to be in top form, except for the auto bracketing function which I can't seem to get working. I just got an old Konica FT1 Motor, and I think it's seen better days. While the verdict is still out on the usability of it, I've been borrowing the school's Nikon FM2.

Well, on one of my wanderings, I was feeling quite good, and had in the back of my mind to create a poem. Well, here is that poem. Hopefully it doens't sound too sappy. I guess you could say that it goes along with the Golden City series as well.
